Impressionist Painter
Catherine Grawin is an award-winning oil painter of landscape en plein air, still life and abstract work. A true colorist, her bold and loose brushwork is the signature style that appeals to her collectors. Her art education includes a BA degree from SDSU in Graphic Design and Communication, emphasis in Commercial Illustration, with post-graduate work in architectural design and rendering. Her past instructors include Sebastian Capella, John Asaro, Joe Garcia, Pat Kelly.
Grawin's work can be seen in the fine art book Land of Sunlight. She is featured in currently showing at Santa Ysabel Art Gallery and the Girard Gourmet in La Jolla. Catherine teaches privately at her Solana beach Studio and at venues such as La Jolla Athenaeum and UC San Diego Extension. She gives public painting demonstrations and has been invited to judge art competitions and shows.
